Solar Panels

A photovoltaic panel, or solar panel, is a packaged interconnected assembly of solar cells also known as photovoltaic cells. These panels gather about 15-18% of The Suns energy and are often installed in multiple groupings to allow more energy to be harnessed. They can be used either commercially or privately and some private residences even use them to sell energy back to power companies.

Solar panels are becoming increasingly inexpensive to install as the skills and technologies behind solar energy have become more refined. There are three classes of solar paneling which include: Small quantity, mid-quantity, and large- quantity. Small quantity is most popular in the private sector and typically generates about a kilowatt of electricity a year. Large-quantity is mostly used on the corporate or industrial level and generates about 10 Megawatts a year. Mid-quantity can be used by either sector and has no stiffly defined output amount.

If you’re interested in installing solar panels at your home or office, it is advised to seek the aid of a certified contractor who specializes in solar panel installation. If you are tech and construction savvy, then it is possible to install them yourself, provided it’s a smaller scale operation. There are many books available on just how to install these panels.
